Latest Planit CAM and Manufacturing Software to be Exhibited on Stands E19 and E21 at Hallam Arena, Sheffield on 4th-5th October.

EdgeCAM V11.0, a new version of Pathtrace’s advanced CNC off-line programming system, will be exhibited for the first time at the Northern Manufacturing Show as part of a joint presentation with Jobshop 9.3 - the latest release of HRS’s comprehensive suite of manufacturing software.

Incorporating new functionality to support 4 and 5-axis simultaneous milling on latest generation mill-turn machines, as well as improved drilling routines for automatically finding and machining holes through cylindrical and conical faces, EdgeCAM V11.0 provides users with a wealth of new machining capabilities. In parallel, enhanced productivity features deliver faster and simpler operation, along with reduced component floor-to-floor times. Improved boundary control and new ‘rest roughing’ functionality minimise operator input and geometry creation on both roughing and finishing cuts, while a new tool optimisation routine ensures the most effective utilisation of cutting tools, particularly on multiple part set-ups. In addition, EdgeCAM V11’s improved handling of 3D models from a wide range of proprietary CAD systems provides faster operation and shorter programming times.

Better control, enhanced tool and work tracking, streamlined operation and new CRM functionality are among the key features of the latest release of Jobshop’s advanced manufacturing software. Jobshop 9.3 incorporates a ‘stock locking’ function that supports perpetual inventory checking, as well as improved stock holding and control. In addition, a log feature provides enhanced tool tracking and utilisation and simplifies the maintenance of calibration data for all tooling in use.
