EdgeCAM Latest Release to be demonstrated at Performance Racing Industry Trade Show

The 18th Annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show will take place December 1 – 3, 2005 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. This state-of-the-art trade show will feature seminars for attendees and representation by suppliers ready to address the most critical challenges facing Motorsport today. The show will be attended by such high profile names as Ken Schrader (NASCAR Nextel Cup Star), Kim Green (President of Andretti Green Racing), and Kenny Wallace, 17-year NASCAR veteran to name only a few.

Productivity improvements will take center stage as Pathtrace and Creative Dezign exhibit in Booth #3958 to perform live demonstrations of art-to-part on real parts from the racing industry using DezignWorks for reverse engineering of SolidWorks models, and EdgeCAM – the standard in intelligent solids based manufacturing.

The full range of EdgeCAM products will be on display including the latest developments for mill/turn and multi-axis machining. New features include fully detailed machine simulation capability for mill/turn machines and the debut of new products for 4 and 5 axis simultaneous applications.

Machine simulation is especially useful for Mill/Turn applications where there is an increased potential for expensive collisions because of the confined nature of the machines and the number of moveable items on the machine tool. The turrets (with complete tooling), sub-spindle or tailstock and b-axis indexing head can all be displayed with full movement. EdgeCAM machine simulation helps ensure safe operation even during complex multi-turret machining and spindle to spindle part transfer operations.

Complex programs can be proved out prior to being deployed on the machine tool, increasing the confidence of the operator and reducing the lead time to the completion of final component. Process optimization is aided by the graphical timeline that allow the operations on different turrets and spindles to be synchronized together to minimize cycle time.

EdgeCAM is a complete solution for milling, turning, mill/turn, advanced solids and freeform machining, and solid modeling. For further information about the latest release of EdgeCAM, please click here.
