EdgeCAM CAD Links for SolidWorks
Use the intelligence in the CAD model in your EdgeCAM manufacturing

EdgeCAM CAD Links can be installed by your CAD designer onto his computer. Then when he saves the part for you he automatically saves two files - one is the standard SolidWorks part file the other provides extra information to help you machine it faster!

What extra information do I gain if my designer installs CAD Links?
If your designer installs CAD Links you will save : Threads, Construction Planes, Coordinate systems, Coordinate Planes and Sketch Planes.

With all this extra information you will be able to glean more information from the Solid CAD file and machine the part with all the information given by the CAD designer.

How do I get CAD Links?

How do I install it?
1) Download edgecamcadlinks.exe to your hard drive
2) Run edgecamcadlinks.exe
3) The CAD Links installation program detects if you have SolidWorks on your PC and if so will offer to install the link
4) Process to install the link.
5) The EdgeCAM Link Toolbar and icon will be added to SolidWorks.

How do I use it once it is installed?
When you click on the EdgeCAM Link (see picture on right) you will automatically save 2 files (example.sldprt and example.sldprt.xml) you will then need to send both of these files to the EdgeCAM user for processing.
